T'day i ran with Blake Jackson at sugarhouse park. we did super good and then we went home. it was warmish when we ran but we survived. It was a good run, but my lungs were sore and started to hurt. i hate so much how its been over 6 months since my diagnostics and im still suffering because of it. rating of pain: legs: 1/10 sides/shoulders/sternum: 6/10 _________________________________________________________________________ I didn't feel like i was done running for today so i went barefoot and did some hills at sugarhouse again. i went up the hill, and down the hill for about 60s per each set, equal recovery. i did this about 5 times. after this, i did my core and drove to the track where i ran about a mile barefoot at the track at east. pretty good. i felt as if i was being attacked by something or someone my sides, shoulders and sternum hurt so bad, but my stupid doctor wants me to learn some pain management skills so i'm in so much pain but i have to push through it. my own darn fault though, i mean, i ran those hills hard and knew i would be hurting after so im done complaining. todays workouts were AWESOME, but they kinda sucked too. eh, makes me stronger right?

| | i woke up at 7:50. drove to Sunnyside park. ran to the JCC with Taylor, Natalie and Amanda. it was fun. hard. uphill. hot. good workout. i really enjoyed it because im getting back into running and i can do a good amount of mileage but hills is what i need to work on the most and because the hills were the first thing on this run, i was able to stay with the group about 7 of the 8 miles. The air by RJ's ward is really dusty and hard hard hard to breath, it hurt quite a lot, to a point where i was almost in tears and had to stop to 'stretch' and walked a little bit. do i regret that? yes. but im supposed to be listening to my body and my body was saying something isn't right, take a breather for a minuet, so i did. after the run. i tried to go to jolleys to get a snow cone but realized it opens at 12 and now im disappointed. : / |

| | I woke up in the mornin' feeling like P-Diddy, and started my run at sugar house park. i ran with Ben, Taylor, Natalie, Patrick and some others. We ran up hill to Tanner Park which was ok for me, it was a little hard but i think that i need a lot of practice on hills so it was good. Going back down to Sugarhouse was killer, it was a lot faster but i lost all my energy and about died when i got there. Then i ran with some of the new freshman and Blecca. My legs still feel like jello, but my chest didn't hurt until after the work out which makes me very happy Legs-2 Chest-6...ish? (it started to hurt after i got home...) |

| | Peace gardens run. it got very hot and it was a hard run. i think that heat is related to the pain im in. when it got so hot, i felt dehydrated, and my chest was flaming. i have high hopes for Tomy this XC season. Its gonna take a lot of work to catch him again. I think if i can work hard enough, i could maybe push with Tomy most of the race when its in season. i might go for another run later today, but im very sore and i don't know if its a good idea. i don't want to get injured. ill probably run in the Boo-boo group tomorrow. |

| | ran about 10 in the morning. i was low on energy and need to get more sleep. also, its time my shoes retire. |

| | H Rock run. Slowish, just getting ready for half marathon. not too exciting. |
|
| | half marathon. small warm up, larger cool down, super fun. hilly, dusty, i think part of it was on the jeremy ranch... not sure. 1:38:47 was my time, 1st in age group, 9th overall. for recovery, i mowed the lawn, fixed Scout, my new scooter, went to family dinner and now FINALLY am resting. my legs are jello. : / |

| | Slurpee run wasn't so fun, but it was a lot better than how i imagined it. ran with susannah tomy nelson (on his bike) and emily for the most of it. had to leave early so i could get to my english meeting. after that, i drove home and did a small light run before i read soo much poetry my eye sockets exploded... |
|
| | did about 8 at wheeler farm. good. fun. speed. i didn't feel like i got todays amount of mileage in so i went for another run up to the JCC and back with a slight detour that ended up being just over 6 miles. Might want to go for another run later tonight, but im gonna ice bathe first. my shins started to experience an odd stiffness, it doesn't hurt that bad, its just like an obnoxious stiffness that wouldn't go away when i stretched.. so im gonna ice and hope that it will be ok! |
